It was! Until school pickup time! But, I cooked dinner for him (which he did not eat) and I cooked all my husband’s favorite foods: red cabbage, dill butter potatoes, garlic chicken, and Mac n cheese. Which was great because I had exactly what I wanted: caramel apples and popcorn. I stayed calm and pleasant, and in control. Wouldn’t have been hard to binge! All alone, with a terrible child, with no one but myself. But I made a choice: spend my calories on what I wanted. And, when I hit my limit, I stopped, and it was fine.
