oh I don't like those mine is a smoker type with two pipe popping out of the top, you light all three burners and it quickly gets up to 700 degree's. I see all the complaints on the 2 burner and 3 burner weber spirit models and the complaint is they don't get up to 500. that scares me. I use it for steaks and that is all I care about, hot grill to sear them quickly.

The last grill I had was a CharBroil I found on the side of the road. Popped new guts in it and it was good as new...almost. I used it for several years. The guy that took over my studio still has it by his shop and uses it for staff cookouts.

ah so it does not get hot enough Chris, that is the concern. I don't want to fry my steak and then cook it. I guess I will have to rethink this. what kind did you get this time and do you still need to pan fry first??

I have a 2 burner Spirit Natural Gas Weber - last year's model with the closed cart. It easily gets up to 600. NG burns a little hotter than propane. I bought it on Amazon and put it together in about 1 1/2 hours.

I have propane and honestly the 3 burners are definitely out of my price range here.

I finally made up my mind, I read the webber customer support and review page and the same comments from people, not hot enough. support is teaching them how to grill with lower temps instead of talking bout the lower heat the unit generates. going to order my Char-Griller pro. It is the best cooking grill I have ever had and while it rusts fast, I read up on care and I have been abusive to it in the maintenance department. maybe with better care it will last longer. I am bad, I never clean the thing and found out that cleaning it with a grill brush destroys the coating on the grids.

I had to pay full price Nikeit, but the grill is very reasonable just have to wait for it to come in. something nice about knowing exactly what to expect.

yes Chris that is one of the mistakes the second is I will have to coat the other parts once in a while in veggie oil to prevent the rust. The unit comes well coated and probably when that wears off it starts to rust.
