Did my 5k swim today... it's my once month fitness check. I swam my 5k today in 1 hour 52 minutes and 49 seconds... my personal best. The weight may not be coming off like I want but the fitness level continues to improve.
224.4 lb Lost so far: 237.6 lb.    Still to go: 34.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

A fellow swimmer— good to know I’m not alone in my love of the water. Two hours every morning, 5-6 days a week. I zone out. I was always a swimmer and some surfing when I was younger, but can’t ever give up the water..

Kenna, I've got crippling arthritus in my major joints and my knees are beyond grade 4... they look like mushrooms... swimming is my life.... I've averaged 12 miles a week for a year. Water is the place I find real peace, something about swimming drives away the blues. Maybe it's because I'm a pices, haha!

That is great. I didn't even know it could be swam that fast. Sounds like the check up was top notch.

I used to do 2 miles every morning— that’s a ton of laps. Now I don’t care, I just do the two hours because it is a golden start to my day.
