Rain stopped, and I got my bicycle ride. Almost drove over a scorpion on the way back. Still getting used to a life in the tropics.

Crazy8cottage. Grew up in winter country. Moved to various tropical places. Have gotten used to snakes, but this scorpion thing is new. Had a look to see what type it is, and find they are called 'Black Giant Forest Scorpion' Can see why they have the name Giant.

Yikes! When the word “Giant” is used to describe an insect, I’m running the other way! I let the cute MN spiders outside without squishing them, but a Giant Forest Scorpion would give me nightmares!
