I've increased my activity by walking 15 minutes very briskly on my lunch break. I also started walking in the evenings, actually yesterday was my start, I walked 2 miles. It was tough but I know I have to stick with it and just make it a habit. I just started my journey Monday so I'm not going to weigh myself till next week. Trying to stay positive.

Thx everyone!!! Got 3 miles in early today, I'm hoping later this evening to get one more in, I don't want to push too hard too fast. At the end of mile 3 I was feeling pain in my hips but pushed through it. I been doing decent with calorie counting knowing I have to log it, seeing it in black n white helps keep me from the sweet snacks. I need a little help with watching the carbs tho, at the end of my walk today I felt depleted n wanted a Gatorade, but geez that's 36 carbs right out the gate. I did drink a little less than half. It's tough to stay at 20 or less a day but I'm trying to find a way. Any tips or recipes would be a big help!!! Be safe everyone and enjoy the holiday weekend!!!! God Bless Veterans!!

Hello all! I changed my life after reading "The Five Second Rule" by Mel Robbins/best book ever for making change and for me, re fitness. I'm ready to take it to the next level. Going to subscribe to beachbody subscription which this challenge leader recommends, looks amazing. I am 50 pounds to lose. I'm doing the Optavia program as well. I'm 44. I also love amazonprimemusic subscription, cheap and the music helps propel me through workouts each night. I am finally making time for myself to workout each day, and it is a special time to go to the gym/I leave at 8:30 every night/only time I can go b/c of work. I'd love to share experiences and ideas, thoughts. I truly believe that I've used the wrong paradigm (and lack thereof as well) throughout my life for healthy living. Sodas ARE OVER, no more. I already feel better, even without diet coke. Can;t wait to hear more about all of your evolutional journeys! Hugs to all, Leslie
