Hello, I'm a nurse and I love taking care of others, however like a typical nurse I don't always practice what I preach. I'm middle age now and it seems harder to lose weight. Over the past 3 years I've gained 40 pounds and I can feel it affecting my body. I'm not as carefree about life as I used to be and my family medical history is not good, so I find myself worrying about my health. My goal is to get in better shape physically and mentally. I'm hoping that by signing up with this group that it will give me some guidelines to follow, I do better with a written plan.

rough weekend
Weighed in this morning, one pound weight loss since last week. I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I been working hard watching calories and walking religiously. Getting ready to go on vacation this week had to go buy a bathing suit since last years doesn't fit !! Horrible experience! I wanted to run home and hide in my room but life doesn't work that way, I had to get up and push through it, just wish it was a little easier.

When I signed up with this site I was hoping to gain some support and encouragement, I don't see a lot of community support in posts. Not sure if I found the right group for me.
