Today is kind of a funky work day but a good food day for me. I'm staying right on course for the day in spite of the stress. The owner of my company is cutting hours for the ladies in my department (and other departments as well). I volunteered to take an hour off my time each day to help ease the strain on the expenses. I figure 5 hours a week won't kill me and it will save the company a little bit of money as well. We're a small company, only about 15 employees. I'll at least get more done around the house!

My sister had to do that at her job as well.. better that everyone give up a few hours a week than one or more persons be fired completely.

Both of the girls in customer service are already down to 35 hours per week and more cuts mean maybe only 30 hours per week and they supply the only income to each of their families. I couldn't in good conscience not offer to give up something to ease the strain a bit.

AND healthy cooking! Man, what I wouldn't give for an extra hour a day. I'm lucky if I can keep my work week under 50 hours :(

I'm fortunate to have a husband with a culinary degree (although he admits that I'm a much better cook!) so I get A LOT of help in the kitchen and when it's nice, it's grilling time. Our family loves fresh vegetables on the grill along with lean pork, chicken, turkey brats and fish. I am thinking of making some of ploveland's crunchy onion rings sometime soon though! Today I cleaned the hardwood floors in the living room, which is no small feat, and I plan on tackling a room every day doing some serious spring cleaning. I find that when I really clean every nook and cranny, I clear out the cobwebs in my head as well!

that is how I clean my house too! One room at a time.. it keeps me from being overwhelmed by it all. Also as far as tasty meat products sams club has a chicken spinach asiago cheese sausage that is freaking awesome!! i love it in a bun like a brat and I also love it with pasta and veggies yummo!

Wow you are a lucky lady a husband who knows his way around a kitchen. My husband can make eggs and toast, but not at the same time.

The trouble is, by the time I make it to the last room, you can't tell I did anything with the first room! My husbad asks me all of the time, "why do you clean the stove? It just gets dirty again as soon as you cook on it". Ew, could you imagine?!

I know what he's saying, but you're right Eu. It would get to the point you wouldn't want to cook on it.
