Like kid in a candy store …goooooood morning fs world…like a kid in a candy store I had a craving last night…hey now get your minds outta the local sugar aisle…I had a craving but it wasn’t a sugar craving…you see I watched a woman's triathalon on tv last night…the swimming didn’t do nothin for me…but once they got on their bikes…I was craving the ride…well..my craving to ride kept growing...watched almost all of that part an then around 8pm I turned if off before it was over an headed off to bed…should of stayed up..couldnt sleep…at about 830..i got up..mind was racing an I took out my calendar I keep...for last 3 years or so I take a calendar and everyday I write on it…I put the temp, what I weigh and if I ride my bike and how far I go...just a reminder so I can look back and see progress on paper..so anyways when I got up..i went to calendar and looked back thru it…in jan of this year I was on my bike…I weighed in at 329 pounds..an it was 48 degrees that morning...now im gonna tell you it don’t feel like 48 degrees when your on a bike an its cold outside…they all ways say 10 degrees cooler then what it is…anyways..naturally my mind is racing as I wasn’t gonna ride till I hit 300…but instead at 830 I was up…airing up my tires..pluggin in my front light to make sure it was charged an ready to go..then recharged the back light..when all was done…went back to bed…but mind was still going 90 miles an hour…at 930 pm…I was still layin in bed thinkin I usually get up at 4am..i do need some sleep if I plan on riding …well..i had been hearing rumble outside…but with all the traffic that passes the house…I never thought to much about it…then I kept seeing flashes of light..and im thinkin..let me guess I get my bike all ready to ride..an now its gonna rain…welp…at 940 I was up once again..lookin outside..and yeap…you guessed it …it was pouring…and im thinkin…geez..i cant sleep…mind is all set up to ride in the morning…and its raining…well last time I looked at the clock it was 10 and I guess I finally went to sleep…woke back up this morning at 330 am…the plan is to do 4-5 miles …my speedometer on my bike isnt working…battery died inside it..so
Something else to buy at walmart when I go on Sunday…but I have a workout on my phone that one is 30 minutes long…the other is 45…so since it’s a short ride…il do the 30 minute one an just figure 4-5 mile ride this morning…something to start out with…usually by this time of the year I already have my first 600-800 miles on my summer riding…but this year im getting weight off before I can start…not worried about the spokes or rims as they have been modified for my weight…was worried about the frame….don’t want to have cracks in the frame…from the load of me speeding around town…well…I need to close this an loook outside to see what the weather is like..chance of a morning rain..hope not…after not getting my sleep an getting my bike ready for a morning ride…thanks for stoppin by…and have a great day…

Update….just got back from my bike ride…I had planned on doing an easy 30 minute ride…that never happens…ended up doing an hour…felt so great to be back in the saddle again….riding early in the morning when sun is just coming up..75 here this mornnig…but when your riding and you feel the air blowing past..just nothin like being out riding an almost the only one of the streets…did pass one guy walking and right when I was leaving the house passed somebody on a bike…im in hour20 of my IF BEAST competetion so I didn’t have any food for last 20 hours..i did wonder how I would do fasting an riding this morning..i did take 2 energy gel packets with me…but im happy to report…I didn’t open either one of them…im really surprised that I had that kind of energy on a fast…before I have always ate before a ride…since my speedometer wasn’t workin this morning..hard to judge distance…but usually when it does…I can get close to 10 miles on a slow day at one hour…so not really sure of the distance..on a great day when im burning rubber…I have done 12-13 miles in an hour…so just hard to say today…also…I weighed before I left house…I was at 318.8….and when I drug my tired body into house an got my riding bibs off…I weighed again…316.8…whoooop….whooop….whippeee…what a way to start this day….
316.8 lb Lost so far: 16.2 lb.    Still to go: 16.8 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I am so thrilled that you got back on the bike! I had a similar mind buzzing night and due to all of the hydration, had three calls of nature before 5. Not tired and frazzled like you would expect to be after a restless night, great job on the loss my friend! Bike on!

Awesome. I used to ride endlessly. I'd go out for a couple of hours just for fun. Never really thought of it as exercise, just freedom. Then I broke my ankle and the ankle will not take that rotation. Maybe there will be bikes in heaven when I get there?
