I know a handful of you will be happy (The High Carb Squad- Superman, Are, Diablo, OTB, to name a few)
This is a beautiful community; i didnt expect to find so much support here!
i reintroduced spagetti 2 night ago after avoiding pasta for 10 YEARS. When I saw my carbs were at 199g last night, i had to fight back a panic attack. 2030 (830p) i was contemplating a workout, but opted for Skyrim instead (no internet, so online games are taking a back burner) Eventually my panic passed.

Imagine my shock this morning 😲 14 years ive been battling carbs, sticking to low carb, then keto, then carnivore. 14 years of stressing about my dieting, good vs bad. on diet, binge eat chocolate and ice cream, then back on again... i havent seen under 185 since April when i was still trying to force Carnivore, began Glow Approach with Therapist in May and relinquished all power to diet and have been testing the waters with carbs since, beginning with veggies, fruit then grains.

Yay! I too found my weight dropped suddenly when I went from rarely eating bread to eating it daily for a while. Getting balanced macros is important, but carbs are not the enemy!

As a vegan, I’m definitely pro-carb, and am happy you had a positive experience with pasta (even I struggle to eat a thin person portion). You won’t get fat eating fruits and veggies. I eat grains & legumes one meal a day and never measure. So if you keep sweets out of the house, you can conquer the carb beast. Congratulations on the drop!

congrats to you!!!! and wow I can't beleive I made it into the carb squad 😄 I thought carbs were the devil too and at the start of my weight loss in january I was only averging 60 and at most hitting 100 grams of carbs a day. im really happy some people helped changed my view on carbs I will say that even now my carbs do come almost entirely from fresh fruits vegetables and rice cakes. I eat little to no sweets or processed foods and almost never eat a non fresh home prepared meal (doesnt mean this is the only way to do it just what i do). my wife has actually realized through our diet that she had a gluten sensitivity that was giving her daily migranes so I'm on board with her diet as well so we don't even eat regular pasta or really any other gluten. keep up the awesome work, you got this 👍 👏

That is great! I also watch carbs, I eat about 100 grams a day. I also carb cycle when needed. Its how I lost 50 lbs and it's what works for me. I do eat carbs, especially to fuel me . Since I do weight lift I try to eat about 125 grams of protein and between 35-50 grams of fat. I support whatever works best for each individual.

I lied lol I do eat a bowl of steel cut oats almost everyday in the morning and lately have been replacing my evening after dinner fruit topped rice cakes with some fiber one orignal cereal mixed with some form of berries. so not just rice cakes and fruit I do have a few other carb sources

The main reason pasta helped me gain weight was, I usually was tempted into having 2 servings. I have learned to measure out 1 serving each for Hubby & I and that's all I cook. I go heavy on the sauce...usually made with fresh veggies. I have eaten carbs all along...lots of fruit etc.

When I say 2 servings, I may have actually started with at least 2 servings on my first plate & then had a bit more. I love my pasta!

For me the best form of control is to have it around. Have your favorite carbs, everyday. Within your calorie goals ofcourse. Then soon it will be just another food group, which it was in the 1st place. But with great energy comes great responsibility, use that energy for good 💪😉
