SCIENCE BEHINDS IT ALL..WARNING..WARNING..LONG JOURNAL TODAY...good Friday morning..sorry if you came to read about science...keep on looking..im not one that gets into listening or researching science..in fact since I wasn't sitting in front desk in classes...school just didn't keep my mind locked into learning....i was one of them kids that reading just didn't interest me..same in math..which im pretty good at now..or any of the other subjects i had to take when in school...at the time I didn't want to be in school..but my dad made it clear...if I wanted a roof over my head..stay in school or find a job...I choose to go to school..

now looking back 55 years later..dad was a smart cookie..of course back when my dad was coming thur life..things was simpler..but you had to work harder to get what you needed in life..he worked in the oil fields..and came up thru ranks the hard way..working for every thing he got..which has nothing to do with todays journal but a part of who I am...

if I could go out in front yard an eat grass an the weight come off....hey id be out there munching away...all the science in the world means nothing to me...and all the ranting an raving on my journals is everone wanting to get their 2 cents said..thats fine..im 68 years young..and I'm gonna do what i think is in my best interest..im not on any medication so I must be healthier then most people my age..i watch what I eat..most of the time..an i do get exercise...even though it doesnt seem like exercise.. in the end...im gonna do what works for me...what woe for someone else is doing...if its working for them...great...if not...then its time to either change what their eating or find what does...

for me ....I cant say..dont want to make it sound like I'm pushing a way of eating...works for me...as I said in a journal or 2 ago...if I could eat all the unhealthy food I ate at one time in my life and the weight come off...id sure be eating it...but my insulin levels just wont allow me to eat like that...and its something that I have to live with and constantly keep in mind when I choose to eat something..i have to remind myself when I not at home...that I have to make the right or the best choices on food...or pay the fiddler when I step on the scales once again...just the way it is for me...I ate all that unhealthy food for years...and all it did was add weight...yes I did exercise...in fact at one time I was a gym rat...

times change as does eating plans...back in early time..before modern time...food was healthier..it wasn't modified..to supposedly make it better...food...fitness..supplements....like so many things in life now..are money makers for those that want to gain from us ...the people looking to be healthy...I can remember when I use to buy gnc Optimum Nutrition pro complex protein in a 5 pound canister for 50 dollars..an it used a smaller scoop...would last a lot longer then now...an it no longer is 50 dollars...supply an demand...how things change when the cha ching comes in faster..

same with food...cheaper to make the unhealthy processed food..its all about keeping people in business...doctors, pharmacys, food suppliers, farmers, you name it...

as I said ...im not here to argue with anyone or try an get anyone to eat the way i do....just here to write my thoughts for the day...if you want to read what I write...go for it...if not...its ok...not everyone is gonna agree with what I think...an I understand...we all have minds to think for ourselves..thats what makes us all unique in our own ways....

would like to report a loss today..but im thinking it was same as yesterday...i always weigh in before i get on bike to get zwift ride in..but forgot to write it down this morning...an im sure if i weighed now it would be lower then i want to record..so...just have to wait till tomow to see what the numbers are gonna be...

Great post Mike. The more real foods (non processed) you eat, the healthier one will be. Our bodies are real and we should feed them with real food as best as possible.

Love this journal, Mike. I don't like to tell people to eat what I do either. I prefer to encourage them to stick to whatever way of eating they're happier with. I always enjoy your journals - it's like sitting in your lounge having a nice chat with you 🙂

Well said WBH...what way of eating works for one, doesn't necessarily work for you, me or the next person (whether CICO, LCHF, Palio or any other WOE)...just like what activities and exercise level works for one, doesn't necessarily work for another. Sure there are fundamental diet truths that we need to follow in order to meet our weight and/or health goals (whether to gain or lose weight, maintain proper blood serum levels, etc.), but what works best and is easiest to reach those goals can vary a great deal from individual to individual. PS, I'm still a little envious of your new bike...maybe someday.....have a good one!!

steven....cant put off...if you want to enjoy...i really like the Edmona sl6 for outside..carbon is great...i rode my cannondale..alum on trainer...really happy with both bikes...if you enjoy riding...time to look...

ty everyone...my thoughts for journal started at 33o am...in notepad on laptop...but after my ride...i condensed my thoughts...riding on trainer..brought new insight to today's entry...
