Tonight my heart is so empty, I cried it all out. Although he felt better this morning, an ultrasound found that Hogan was full of tumors and the edema in his back foot was spreading to his hip and he could no longer stand. We went and spent time with him before we let him go and let him go to sleep. I have no doubts that we made the right decision, but it was still a huge shock how quickly everything happened at once. I am so thankful for the years I had with him, he was truly an exceptional dog. I am so thankful that I didn't have to put him through the stress of surgery and recovery only to have his body betray him the way it did.

Dear, beloved Katsolo, I am heartsick for you. I wish there was some way to send comfort to you, dear. I only hope you have someone there wrapping you up in love... Oh my. My tears are flowing too. 💔💔 So sorry Kat. But agree and support your decision. The only dog I ever owned, my parents had to make the same decision. I’ve never wanted another. I pray your heart heals better than mine. 🙏

Oh sweet soul, I feel this deeply!! He looks like a precious boy ... a good, good boy. That's always a hard decision to make, but I feel like you made the best one. We just found out a few days ago that our sweet 13-year old golden retriever mix likely has a brain tumor, which is responsible for his recent seizure. Our days with him may be shorter than we hoped.
