How did the RightRice taste?
|
HCB-I thought it was great. Garlic herb and just like regular rice. Also super easy to make!

Great looking meal! I clean as I go, line baking pans with foil.

Don't you hate having to cook and THEN clean up TOO? I always have to clean the kitchen completely up BEFORE I start cooking. Then, usually, when I have a big cooking day, I wait until the next day to clean up.

This is one of the reasons I usually cook enough for 4 meals and just heat and eat the same thing each day when husband is gone...1 clean up. It was good, but you're right Shir-foil would have made the cleanup much easier!

I'm glad it was only like an adult. I find maturity to be stifling. Keep up the charade as long as you can. 😉 lovely meal, looks good.

I haven’t used FatSecret for awhile and I don’t know how to find where you check to see foods carbs sugar fiber etc????

Rknisely, at the top left side of the page, right under "Fat Secret" there's a search box. Try that. And good luck! :-)

I'm w/Shirf: I clean as I go, but if there are crustys leftover and I'm tired, then I soak them overnight and it makes it easier to scrub them the next day. And, as DebbieC: I like a clean kitchen b4 I begin tearing it up w/cooking. lol As Rckc: I don't cook on Sundays. I make enough/buy enough food so I don't have to cook on the wknds....expecially on Sundays. My husband bought 2 grilled chickens, at our neighborhood grocer's deli, for $5 each and they are sO delicious. I had 4 wings. Yum!

I second this motion Slow Meta. A clean kitchen (which I was responsible for) is a Happy Kitchen.

Ryssa-I've tried chickpea and red lentil pastas so far, both were good. I will have to look for veggie pasta. Is there one in particular you love?

THANK YOU for posting items I can relate to: having to start cooking like an adult (at 59), and wanting someone to clean the mess.

I'm 100% with you re:cleaning up. 😆I live on my own so I have no choice - but there's also no one around to hear me bitch and moan as I go along. I have become a huge fan of one pot meals, though. Also, butting in a bit on the veggie pastas - I picked up a box of black bean pasta from Aldi, and was very pleasantly surprised with how good it is. So far just used it in simple recipes (tossed with sauteed tomato/onion/garlic in oil), but it's quite good and very high in protein!

@ Rckc IDK why I thought it was buotini it is actually Barilla Veggie pasta. I've tried the Rotini and spaghetti so far. Delicious however it is made with wheat flour along with the zucchini and spinach purees.

she_loves- My husband is gone 4 days a week for work so I'm on my own also those days. I usually cook once/clean up once then eat the same thing for those days, just reheat. I've got 2 dogs that listen to me boo hoo about things. It's great, they never talk back 🤣 I just saw that pasta at aldi's the other day but didn't get it...I'll have to try it!
