Actually felt like pushing the workout today...

Happy happy Wednesday...

Been riding just one hour or close...thinking..I won’t be as tired the next day..might not get as many miles..but..if I can ride more days..then my thinking is ride till my body says not today..and means it...I mean my little voice says not today everyday almost...but I’ve learned to listen to how bad my body wants to gear up for a ride/workout...

Pushed the ride today..wanted to get as many miles as I could in my hour...virtual ride was in watopia...a little place off the Solomon island...just one of the several virtual courses...so many cool things about the courses..you ride with other cyclists from all over the world...and sometimes friends if they are set up on zwift...Steven Lloyd..which is on fs...catches me on some mornings...if you are a runner and have a treadmill...you can run on zwift...I think for 14.99 a month..it’s well worth it..you can stop it at any time..and restart it..once the weather changes...a way to get your ride/run/workout..and not have the weather..be your excuse..

Time to refuel with breakfast...get the salad for later prepped...rained yesterday afternoon..suppose to rain again this afternoon...bought nose mask to wear when I cut grass..like I want to wear that..but if it helps..guess it’s worth it...

Health coach called..from insurance company...my opinion...if your just getting into the program..and beginning to learn what you need to do..it might be worth it..for me..it’s a free service...due to my insurance package...I didn’t learn anything new..she had no magic to spread.....

You must have a heart like a horse. Strong. Benefit from years of training I assume. Cannot imagine how this system works, but seeing how you go on, it has to be good. My GF did her first 4 hour ride recently, and I told her to fill up with meaty proteins after. She wake up the next day, being so proud of not feeling sore. Next she suggests for us to do a 7 hour ride on our next long ride. Thinks she's hooked too.

Lol on the g/f..yeap she sounds hooked...the bike is a great way to enjoy the ride..and get a workout at the same time..your a lucky guy..to have someone that enjoys riding as much as you do..7 hours...hard for me to imagine...lol

Will try and explain how system works...road bike is set up on a smart trainer..it set much like a stationary bicycle..except you can take it off trainer..if you want to ride it outdoors..take 3-5 minutes to free it same amount of time to set it back up...now the smart trainer...has speed sensors...resistance..built into it...I use my iPad to connect to zwift...but I also use a flat screen so I can see...once you connect to zwift..you have several courses..and several rides that are on each course...it’s indoor riding on bad weather days or for people like me that can’t see..but still enjoy riding..go to www.zwift.com...and watch the video..they also have rides on you tube...it doesn’t compare with outside riding...but....all the things you might need on a ride are a step away..

I don’t ride anymore, it’s just hard to find a safe traffic area to do it and becomes an ordeal if you have to pack everything up and go someplace to ride. I belonged to a bike club and we did some centuries and half centuries. The half for me was just fine for me. I would love to see how this virtual ride works. Do you see scenery or is it just a marked route like the above picture?
