there is a lot that is off. sometimes it calculates off too. If you read the labels on your products you can doublecheck. the meats drive me crazy.

The USDA has a large database but I have not tried it on my phone, just computer. Not suitable to use daily but if you repeatedly eat certain items it’s worth checking.

I double check things and Yes the meats drive me crazy!! Especially for ground beef. A lot of that 20% fat is left in the pan! #ketoproblems

Many items have multiple values for calories and often macros too. Use your best judgement and choose one that makes sense...beware, if you choose the lowest calorie value most of the time you will be recording far less than your actual intake. Also, most packaged food estimates use tricky portion sizes so that at first glance the contents don't look too calorie rich.

Here's one of the databases. They have downloadable PDFs, also. There's a larger (at least 50%) USDA database somewhere, but I could not find it this morning.
