Do they have the beet flavor? I don't think I would add that but I like pickled things, I made some kraut and it's much better than the canned stuff and it's really easy. I just watched some YouTube videos and yum!

Yes it has a beet taste. I add some vinegar and sweetener to help sharpen the taste. My wife’s on a 3 day Hospital Diet that calls for pickled beets. Mom raised 4 lil boys and so at Easter she had a lot of eggs after the Easter egg hunt and some she pickled. I’ve seen them in regular pickling juice at the store. Google it there’s all kinds of recipes out there however I like simple. Oh my wife has lost 30 plus pounds on the 3 day a week Baptist Hospital Diet. I do it with her at dinner so I don’t have to cook 2 different meals. Steak on Monday, hotdogs (no bun) on Tuesday and chicken on Wednesday. With a veggie side each nite. There are some strange combinations but they work. It promises 10 lb a week. Not. But she has lost and lost the weight that being immobilized with a sprained ankle for the last 4 weeks.

I love pickled beets and eat boiled eggs often. This sounds like a great idea to break the plain egg monotony. 🐣

Bill, you are right because I have used a similar diet called the Three Day Hospital Diet and it works because the meals add up to 500 Calories a day.

Thank you Lucygirl1 for the info! That opens my eyes! I’m fixing to refocus on a new goal for another 5 lb drop to 135 lbs. I been doing bout 1000 cal a day plus or minus but tend to plateau more than I like. The trick is gonna be to stop the weight loss and level out to maintain the 135 lb goal. I have been off all insulin injections for almost a month now and the 135 lb weight will give me a “buffer” I’ve been on meds for 26 years except for a short time when I dropped to 145 some years ago......but I back slid. 😄😄😄😄

slowly upping your calories can help too. after a long time really low the body can slow down, so you up them a bit to make the body think it does not have to hold on so tightely

Thank you Baskington sounds like a plan. I overshot my carb intake on July 4 with over 800 carbs however my fasted sugar the next morning was only 156. High?? Yes! However way lower than what I had in January of 300 to over 500 blood sugar readings. I was a bad lil boy in November thru December!
