Happy March, my Fabulous Followers!
I just looked back over a few months of my journals. I have been struggling for over one year to lose the weight I gained back when I initially had foot surgery in December 2016 that had me in a foot boot for 12 weeks.
WOW, I did not realize it has been so long - no wonder I became frustrated and less diligent.
Now, I am doing much better with my nutrition and that is 90% of how and why I will lose weight. Exercise is great but will not create weight loss in the end if I do not eat cleanly. The most important thing for me is to NEVER GIVE UP!
Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle - Tom Venuto
Short Range Goals:
* Movement down on the Idiot Boxes while retaining muscle by year end 2018 * Bodyfat % reading with trainer in early to mid MAY, 2018 * Drink at least 12-14 cups of fresh water daily - especially on gym days * Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting four to five days a week * Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload
Long Range Goals: 2018 *Bodyfat at 26% or less (Current 29.8%) by end of 2018 *Longer range body fat goal is 22% - which at my age is great! *Maintain Idiot Box at 160lbs staying under goal weight by end of 2018 *Increased strength, endurance and flexibility during workouts
NEW Words of the Week:“You must have long-range goals to keep you from being frustrated by short-range failures.” ~ Charles C. Noble
I am dedicated, determined and diligent

Make it stop, H. Make the snow stop. Over 8 feet so far this winter. Looks like you have your plan sorted out.

Argh Bruce! Really? 96 inches of snow? When I first lived in Minneapolis, we used to get 60 inches a season...but not anymore. I think the jet stream has moved many storms north and east of us. This year we have had under 24 inches total...if that. Yes, I am sick to death of it, too! OK I will wave my magic wand over Canada...MAKE IT STOP!

We'll take some of that snow, if you can postpone delivery until next winter.

Happy Friday, you are right nutrition is how we will keep the weight off. Exercise is important but nutrition is key. A lot of people at my work are on a no sugar thing right now, which leads to no goodies in the break room, which is a good thing for everyone.

Yes HCB!! I know you will get it done! That's so true. If you mess up the diet, you mess up the whole weight-loss process.
