LittleDovie's Journal, 31 January 2018

Today was a very tiring day, went grocery shopping with hubby and Prince Buddy my pomeranian..Hubby rushing me as being fussy. I'll make sure the next trip I'll diffinitly make a list, "Do we get points for mental stress," Lol Off to Wendy's for lunch.
Getting home putting items away, on my treadmill for 30 mins, watched two shows and now it's 2/pm. Hubby left for work (he works evening shift). By 4/pm I was exhausted. I went to bed and sleep 4 hours, that was a long nap. I guess my body needed rest. I normally go to bed 2/am and up around 8/am.
Cannot wait until Friday morning to weigh in for the week. I've notice most people weigh in the morning in their birthday suit. Why? At the Doctor office when we weigh of coarse we are fully dressed and have our shoes on. So should we record our morning weight or record our Doctor weight? Maybe we should go by our body measurements or size of clothing,
I guess that's maybe the person preference. Personally, I like to go by my Doctor scales.
Exercise; I'm ready to up the treadmill speed, I've increase my mintues from 20 mintues to 30. Starting Sunday I'll add new exercise to my list riding on my stationery bike. Being I have heart disease along with angina, I take slow steps and listen to my body, I may get kick down sometimes but I don't let it stop me, I always get back in the saddle and keep moving. Good night dear Journal..

I weigh in naked and in the morning because the way I see it that is my true weight. My clothes and the last undigested meal I ate are not part of me. They are add ones. Lol.

Taking measurements is also an extremely important indicator of progress. Particularly if you do any strength training.

I weigh in the morning because I'm consistent about the time of day that I do it, so I feel that it's more accurate. Plus then I can see how well I did the previous day on my diet. It can be really encouraging to see the scale go down in the morning.

I weigh in the morning also, after I potty and shower. That way I'm consistent and I know I don't have a meal in my gut adding to it. I'm trying to do my measurements monthly. I like to mix it up on the treadmill. I warm up for 2 min (slower pace), then fast paced walk (3.5 mph) for 2 or 3 min, then slow run (4.5 mph) for 5 min or so, then fast walk again with 3 lb hand weights, going thru several different arm exercises, reps of 10, then run again for however long I can stand (usually 2 or 3 min), before slowing down to 3 mph. I usually try to do a last sprint at 6 mph for at least a minute before cooling down. I also change up the incline. Just food for thought.

I weigh in the morning after a trip to the bathroom. I like to weigh in my birthday suit to be consistent on the readings. I don't want the weight of the clothes to seem like I lost/gained weight when I didn't.
