DO N OK's Journal, 12 September 2017

Well me and my family made it through the Lil BE-otch of Irma, We had power and cable the whole time, We lost 3 palm trees, 1 snapped off and a big tree. The beach is now in the pool, and the beach is no longer large, the barrier Island I live on has a curfew 8pm to 7 am, over 1 mil still no electric, no gas for cars and many store's closed , some will be closed for good as there windows were busted out and extensive water damage, My neighbor had water running into halls, as I went in there and his hurricane windows were leaking, water all over his new wooden floors, ankel deep on 4 floor, I had 5 people in there trying to salvage what we could, I have his big rugs hanging over balcony to dry out. Looks like a war zone on my street,I have been carrying sand from the pool and my son and wife are cutting up fallen trees etc as many trees are down all over street,I believe it is actually worst than what is reported on TV, as for my diet gained 5 #s from eating stuff I should not have and to many meals,And my journey goes on and so does life, and we will rebuild and move on, Thank you all for thinking of me,Now back to KETO and 16-8.

Glad you are okay. I was thinking about you as I watched the hurricane coverage non stop over the weekend (from California). Kept my map out so I could see where the hurricane was going compared to where you live.

Crystal River checking in. Just the top of the lamppost blew off and twigs in the yard. I didn't like the lamppost anyway.😂Glad you're doing ok. How about power?

I don't think the pictures give an accurate depiction. So far, what they show from the helicopters, looks bad. But they go so fast you can't really see. The islands and the keys look pretty bad. No electricity is difficult to deal with after about 24 hours. It makes me crazy. No AC uggghhh warm regards...Sarah
