As of this morning, I have lost 6.5 inches off my chest, 7.75 inches off my waist and 7.75 inches off my hips... guess I need to plan to buy MORE new clothes sooner than later (LOL).

Congrats. It will get expensive, but it's worth it. I took suggestions from other FSers and did some of my shopping in thrift shops. Way to go!

You got it going on, When I did buy new clothes, my weight stayed the same, but still lost inches through exercise, I also bough some transitional clothes through goodwill, and then I then gave them back when I grew out of them !!!

Check out 2nd hand stores, i.e. Good Will, Salvation Army, Etc. Then you can drop off your big clothes. When you hit your maintenance weight, splurge time for new clothes.

Yeah... that's RIGHT! I forgot that I can (probably) now find my (new) sizes at Goodwill and other places! Whoa... just goes to show us all that when we stay at a certain size for SO long, we have difficulty fathoming our shape EVER changing. See... this is why you folks are AWESOME!

I keep banging this backwoods drum, but if only FS had a clearinghouse for passing on clothing in good condition. Shelters always happy for big-size donations, but office clothing worn just a few times is a bit of a mismatch. -- You're sure making those suspenders earn their keep! :-)

From371 - Sometimes I feel vulnerable as I lose more weight, as if the extra "padding" was somehow protective in a way which of course it was not.
