Beginning of day 4 of 28-42 days of Dr. Kruse's Leptin Reset.

Weight this morning was 206.4 ... down again. Amazing since according to my calculations I consumed over 2000 calories yesterday. Go figure. Maybe my buddies were right. Maybe I did have too large a calorie deficit which was causing a stall in my weight loss? Time will tell.

I opted to skip Pilates today and slept an extra 30 minutes. I've been waking A LOT at night. Darn hot flashes. I was super tired yesterday evening. Even fell asleep in the chair while watching a bad movie!!

I'm dragging a bit ... some of that could be due to the leptin reset. I'm sure once I get going I'll be fine. I have a busy enough day ahead with three visits on the calendar. Before I know it it will be time to go home.

I NEED a good travel coffee mug!!! I continually have problems with the coffee dribbling on my clothes in the morning. Didn't dribble all the way in until just before dropping hubby off and SPLAT ... all over the front of my yellow shirt!!! Thank goodness I have a jacket on I can cover the damage with. Otherwise I'd be perusing Wal-Mart to see if I could find a replacement shirt. Embarrassing!!! Maybe I'll break down and buy a new cup from Starbucks ... this dollar store variety just isn't working for me!! ARGH!!!!

I say a former client yesterday who I know would be my client again if I offered. I am thinking about seeing a few private clients ... as a way to build my practice outside of my "real" job. Now ... I have to get serious about malpractice insurance. Perhaps that is the motivation I need to get my rear in gear in that regard.

I do indeed like myself. I am kind to myself. I take care of myself. I love my body and embrace all her imperfections. I am an expert in my field. People pay me for my expertise. I am organized and efficient. I manage our finances well. Our wood shed is full. We have funds saved for a vacation in Mexico in February 2012. Our dental needs are met. I plan well and follow through. I am a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. I listen carefully to my body's hunger cues and nourish my body so that I efficiently shed excess pounds and body fat.

As this day begins ... I am grateful.

1. I am grateful for colleagues I can vent with.

2. I am grateful for cold air when I am having a hot flash.

3. I am grateful for inching closer to the weekend.

4. I am grateful for flannel sheets.

5. I am grateful for music.

Looks like I have a little bit of time to get some paperwork done this morning before my visits begin. I am ever mindful of the need I have to practice kindness to myself, remaining mindful that the joy is truly in the journey, and remembering that "failures" are simply opportunties to learn something and move towards goals. I do find myself more "at ease" with this bigger body ... and perhaps only because I am so darn tired ... I spend less time worrying about "when" I'll be back at 180!! LOL!! There may be something good about being tired!! I hope you all have a good day. Take care of yourselves, continue to work on embracing yourselves ... none of us is perfect, we all struggle with something ... and we are STILL worth it!!!

Great news about the loss! This new plan seems to work, if you feel good and the weight is coming down you must be on the right path! Have a great day, sorry about the coffee spilled on your shirt, it happens often to me too when I drive, but I'm lucky bison don't mind if my clothes are stained lol!

Woot! Loving your chart. Get malpractice insurance and get those clients. I have it through NASW and it is cheap! HAving a bit of a blah day myself. Let's push through it together

I'm not a social worker though ... I think you have to be a social worker to get the malpractice through NASW. I have the names of a couple companies ... somewhere. I've not had to have it for so long ... but being out there on my own ... well you know!!! Yes ... Dens ... we will push through!!!

Of course we are right! LOL You did all the work though, and you did your research. I am sure you are on the right track now. Good luck finding a good mug!

Squiggly ... LOL ... no not day 42!!! Day 4 of 28 to 42 days!!! You are much further than me!! Unfortunately the hot flashes are related to my age (a young 53!!!) not the reset!!

I have been so busy today I didn't have a spare moment to stop at Starbucks and look for a coffee mug!! Maybe tomorrow!!!

Hope you love yourself enough to buy that Starbuck's travel mug. They may be expensive but I am sure they are better quality and if you do use it every day then it is money wellspent and cheaper than stopping at Walmart to buy new shirts - lol.

Hey, Carol, yay for the loss...that is awesome, and yes once you get past the first week or so, you will feel better...it is always that way when you stop eating so many carbs! As for the coffee dilemma, maybe you could just pack a spare shirt! I hate it when the travel cup dribbles. I have several, including some that my son and DIL got me with a thermos for Christmas last year, and all of the darned things leak...I am not sure they truly make a leak proof one. lol Have a wonderful Friday, my beautiful, fabulous, amazing, gifted, 50 something friend!
