I wish all restaurants had to provide the normal nutrition information--calories, fat, carbs for what they serve--sizes. It's so frustrating when you order out and even when it's healthy (salad) and you don't know how to record it. I ordered a medium antipasto salad tonight and I tried to go midway--not the lightest calories, not the most. It wasn't big and didn't have much cheese, so I figured I am still within my calories. It's just so frustrating because I like to know.

Yes, it would be nice. Some restaurants constantly change their menu's so it would be really difficult for them to do it. But it would be nice. All you can do is try and estimate the portion size for each ingredient. I wouldn't worry about calories in lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. It's the cheese, bacon and dressing that usually makes the calories high.

Thanks Suzi. I've been really trying hard to do the best that I can. I really limit cheese--almost never have that anymore.Bacon-definitely not--"if" I am ever thinking of bacon again, it will probably be turkey bacon...I'm trying to think "healthy." I did have some meats in it, but I really felt I needed them today. I've been under my calories all week and I think too far under. I may put on some weight over the weekend, but it's not from being "bad." I can't wait to get to my first goal because my plan at that point is to step everything up with exercise. Meanwhile, why can't restaurants list their calorie/fat/carb/protein count? LOL. I want to become an advocate for this--make it a law--LOL. Okay, been watching too much t.v. LOL.

Yes it would be nice to know. If I can I look up the restaurant on line. But some small town restaurants don't list nutrition info.

I wish they "had" to. It would be healthier for everyone.
