I have not done well at all that last few weeks. Life, work, and poor choices based on availability and ease doomed me. I ate better today because I prepped a meal last night, but I did have ice cream with sprinkles tonight. I can't say no when my 4-year-old grandson, Grayson, wants to have a party. :)

There will always be a party. I would have a tiny amount or something healthy and tell my grandson that grandmas party different.

It's not easy to get those pounds off and you have to be in a total mindset. Prepping meals really does help and keeping only healthy options in your fridge and pantry will help as well. It's ok to have things like ice cream once in a while, but remember, it's those decisions which got you to where you are to begin with. If you are HAPPY being at that place, then great! BUT, if you think YOU need to change to be more healthy, then you need to restrict things like that and find an alternate. Sugar IS an addictive substance. Everyone I know who has taken themselves off sugar says the same thing...they can't believe how addicted they were to it. That's not to say you can't have a little either. It's funny though, but when you limit the sugar, you find you can't go back to eating things like store bought cake and ice cream. There's WAY too much sugar in them and your tastebuds WILL tell you that! LOL! In any case, like I said, you need to be in the right mindset if you want to change. It's ok if you aren't right now. It's a personal journey. YOU decide when you want to do what you want to do! 😁 BUT, I bet your grandson was happy you had a party. LOL! I used to do that with my nephews...except they LOVED fruit! I would cut up some peaches or just use blueberries and strawberries with a dollop of Redi-Whip and they would LOVE that for dessert! There's also custard you can make that's pretty easy, and you can control what you put in it. Lately, whatever recipes I make that call for sugar, I use 1/2 the amount. People rarely notice the difference and actually taste more of what they should be tasting. 😊

Awesome to see you here and starting again! Seems like food prep helps (it does for me, too). Party with the grandkids! And, if there's ice cream (or even not), maybe there can be a funny dance party in the living room, too...one of those non-food celebrations. You"ve got this! And all kinds of help here if you feel like you don't. 🥰

Yasso bars fill the ice cram void. Only 100 cal of frozen yogurt. He has his, and you have yours. Love em

I have LOTS of popscicle molds and made many different kinds. Fresh fruit and yogurt and other recipes that I find in magazines and on the good old internet. Popscicles are a perfectly portioned treat and EVERYONE loves them. When I have BBQs or people over to eat I make everyone’s favorite.
