It's killing me not to have a scale but it's a good experiment. We are going home on Saturday so we shall see how much I've gained. I purposely am taking a break from being so strict. It's all about balance, right?

Mainecoon, I usually take a scale with me but I purposely left it home..it's like having withdrawals....🤪 DJ, yep you are right which is why I'm not to worried...I know what to do if I gain...I have been walking quite a bit while we are here.👍

It's hard for me when I'm away from my scale. I weigh every morning.

Fritzy, yes Im in maintenance phase but I wouldn't say I'm maintaining right now. I haven't gone crazy but I've been eating more than I usually do or at very least I'm eating foods I do not normally eat.. Sherrye I don't usually weigh but 2xs a week but just because I'm eating more I'm getting a bit anxious...🤐

That’s the excuse you tell yourself quit that balance stuff it won’t get you anywhere that’s that comfortable noise feeding your desire for cravings and making it alright.

Modz, I am usually pretty straightforward with my daily food intake but I am on vacation and am taking a breather from my usual diet. I haven't gone crazy...just more carbs than I usually eat..I'll be back on track when I return home next week.

"Balance" doesn't mean you're "giving in" to your cravings. It means you choose when to eat a treat & when to eat healthier choices. Being able to do that is the key to successful, long term maintenance of your weight loss. Uncontrolled eating of less healthy options is where we get in trouble. Diana, you've got this 😁

@Diana, I treated my vacation as a maintenance week, didn’t weigh myself, ate what I wanted within reason, and gained .8 pounds. I weighed in that Monday after my vacation, and by that Friday I’d lost all I gained (a whopping .8 lbs), dropped another pound, and had a pretty good drop in body fat. Enjoy your vacation within reason, and ignore the trolls who belong in therapy.

Allegra, thank you. My nutritionist said what I consider splurging is most people's restrictive diets..lol. In other words she told me not to sweat it and enjoy myself. I know once I get home I'll get back on track. 💜💜
