Well, I met my January goal of 5 pounds! Now I just need to meet the 5 pound goal for February and March! Maybe I'll catch up to my goal in the summer.
I haven't posted my weight in almost 12 days, but I've been checking the scale almost every day. I didn't believe the scale this morning - it was showing down over a pound since yesterday. But I stepped on it 4 or 5 times and got the exact same weight so I believe it. I waited an hour and made coffee, weighed myself again and was down another .4 pound (water) so I posted in between the 2 weights. I was hungry last night. IF is hard when I get hungry past my time to eat. I think that fruits and vegetables don't stick with me as long as bread. I did end up eating a couple more raw brazil nuts but nothing else. There are lots of calories in those nuts! I bought them in the bulk food section of the grocery store in a nice container after looking up online what the healthiest nuts are. They all seem to be healthy but almonds and brazil nuts were at the top of the list.

Fritzy, I set a reasonable goal for myself and work towards it. As long as I've made progress, I don't beat myself up if that goal isn't met, Yet! I just keep going. I love nuts but I have gone overboard on those tasty crunchies. I weigh some, count them and savor each one. It works and I actually appreciate those little nuggets more. Hope this helps :-)

Thanks LivinBreezy. I usually have a bag of raw almonds in the pantry and count out 10 - 20 a day. I don't really over eat them. I was happy to see the brazil nuts yesterday. I like to meet goals even if it takes longer than I wanted.

Thanks Bananas! It's been 7 pounds that I just couldn't lose. It was the highest I've ever been, although I've reached that number 2 other times. Maybe I can reach February's goal by the end of the month! Thanks Crystal - I'm kind of enjoying the WOE right now. Not craving things I usually want but looking forward to trying some new things to eat. Tomorrow I hope to try bok choy for the first time and I also bought some nutritional yeast I want to try. Thanks Liv - I guess it's not such a crazy idea after all. Jeannie - I've been weighing the brazil nuts. An ounce is too much as far as calories. That's about 6 nuts, I think I'll start eating no more than 3 a day. I'm used to eating raw almonds so this is different, but they are good!
