I am hesitant to post my new food plan because I know some people have very strong opinions about it. I will preface this by saying that I go to a nutritionist and this is what works for me. I normally do CICO but I became stagnant and couldn't lose the last 5 lbs I want to lose. We decided that a " jump start" would be a good thing for me. When I was on a weight loss journey originally I followed a low carb, ( 100 grams) medium fat, ( 40-50 grams) and high protein (over 100 grams) food plan. I lost about 50 lbs and also followed a mostly non processed diet. It was successful for me and as an older woman I saw a difference in what no processed foods were doing for my skin and tone. This time I'm doing what's known as carb cycling. 2 days a week I limit my carbs to below 40 grams, increasing my fat to 50 grams, and increasing my protein to 120-135 grams. The other days I stay baseline which means I follow my original food intake. I can have a "cheat" meal one day a week so I won't feel deprived. It is working for me so far. I have more energy and have lost 1.5 ish lbs so far. The increase in protein is keeping me full and helping me with my weightlifting. I think we all have to do what works for us individually. I'm working at getting stronger and lifting more as well as keeping my old lady skin tone. Exercise definitely helps but diet is also important. The non processed helps my auto immune issues for sure. 💜💜

Sounds like a good plan! Everyone is different-I do low cal/ high carb, my mom does Weight Watchers, we have both lost about 60 pounds in the same time frame. It’s whatever works for you, the last 5 pounds is always the hardest. Good luck! You do you!!!!

why would you be afraid? no one here has opinions... HAHAHAHAHA, right?
I work with a nutritionist, too, which is why you see so many different things on my plates, but I have a core menu that I tend to stick with because I enjoy it. for me, it's logging and moving. although there was some snack creepage that will stop. blame samples at costco. I'm going back to visualizing germs on every sample they hand out and will walk away.

Brian Max— instead of justf copying what someone else is doing, take a few minutes to do a GOOGLE on the subject so you make sure that you do it for maximum effectiveness for YOU.

Looks like a great plan to me! I also noticed a change in my skin after I got all the "junk" out of my diet. I remember a lady at work asking me if I changed my skin care products. That was about 4 years ago before I went off the wagon. Now I'm back on it again!

Brian, thanks for following me. I will keep posting my progress and hopefully I'll be successful. On carb cycling days ( mine are Tues and Saturday) I eat low carb but on baseline days I eat about 100 grams of carbs so I feel like it's doable. I'm really trying to put clean, whole foods in my diet. I do have some auto immune issues and a heart condition so I'm careful on to be mindful of those. The clean eating really helped with auto immune issues last time. 👍

Katsolo, your comment made me laugh! Truthfully though I have had tremendous support from my friends on this app. I don't mind when others have questions or disagree but I was nervous that I would be bombarded with anti carb counting comments. I see your posts and watch your progress. Thanks for your support on my journey.💜💪💜💜

Redgmm, that's great that you and your mom both list weight. My sister does WW and she lost 25 lbs last year. Like you said, we all have to find what works for us! 💜👍

Kudos for working with a nutritionist ! When I first started my journey to lose weight and get healthier I worked with one for a few months. Still on the same plan we created for me. I second the connection between getting off processed foods and clear skin. Probably more noticable in us "older" women (I am 62) than in younger women. You are doing great !

Crazycatchick, thanks for the support! I also use collegen powder in my coffee and between that and no processed it's working well. Yes, I agree, probably more noticeable in us " older" women. I feel like my skin is clearer and more elasticity.💜

Corvette Cowboy, thanks! I am kind of liking it! I really don't find it that difficult as low carb days I eat more than on regular days. It's about what you eat! The protein really keeps me full! Plus I feel better! My hip issues are not as bad, my energy is up etc. Plus I am losing weight!
