Each of us is so individual about what works for us. If this is what works for you, then more power to you. If anyone offers unwanted criticism, you have the option of telling them to go jump in a lake 😜

You are lucky to have someone guide you! Different things work for different people. I try to stay around 1000-1200 calories a day and not eat too much fat. I don't worry about carbs if the calories are low. And, for me, carbs from fruit and vegetables are fine.

Very interesting. I hope it works well. Those last pounds can be hard to lose

Fritzy, I am very blessed to have a nutritionist! She has helped me tremendously! I eat about 100 carbs on my non carb cycling days. That for me is usually complex carbs like fruits and grains so I don't feel deprived. Keeping my carbs low 2 days a week is not so bad. We eat about same amount of daily calories. 💜
Annamommy, Liv, Buenita, writing, Thanks for your support! I was really scared to post this! Annamommy, I am an old lady! I'll be 65 this year!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💪💪💪💪💪

I think it sounds like a great plan- I actually lost quite a bit of weight doing what was essentially keto, IF and carb cycling. Kept it off for 4 yrs till the pandemic, back on a similar plan now with great results. It seems like everyone here is doing a little something different and pretty respectful about it which is awesome!

Any way of eating will get you to your goal if you work the plan. Each person may have different macro. Requirements or preferences, but stick with it, be mindful of portion control and eliminate the concept of CHEAT MEAL from your thinking. Think rather of a meal that you have planned for and have included in your overall menus for the day. Then just keep going.

I don’t see any issues with your plan. It seems fairly straightforward and pretty healthy. I like the idea of a Cheat Meal but I think of it in terms of a Treat Meal. They are an every now and then treat. More so during ball season though as that’s when we tend to go out and eat more. As long as you think of it in healthy terms and implement it (diet and cheat meals) in a healthy way it’s all good! Do what works for your body! I’ve always though low fat worked best for me and sure enough I see a gain when I eat more fatty or fried foods. I never considered clearer skin with less processed foods. I may have to give that a try for a week or two and see. :)

Kenna, you sound like my nutritionist! 💜 She calls it a planned meal but I said cheat meal for the purpose of everyone knowing what I meant. You are right! I am mindful of portion control and truthfully I struggle most days to make my calories...since I've been doing this I'm much better though.
Remcarter, Im definitely not doing keto. I know lots of people who have lost with it but I love my fruit and veggies and grains to much! That's great it worked for you.! You are right in that we all should respect each other and understand that what works for one may not work for another. Thanks for supporting me!

Hi Diana!👋 Thank you for sharing this. It has really inspired me to follow through with a nutritionist also. What's the difference between a nutritionist and registered dietitian? Do you know?

Peeper, thanks! The good skin comes from eating pure and eating the good fats like olive oil etc. My skin cleared up and looked healthier after I started eating cleaner. Could've been a coincidence but not sure..💜💜💜💜

Crystal, thanks! It's working so far and she helps me be accountable and I've learned so much from her! I've been seeing her for a couple years now. She was a trainer before a nutritionist so she helps me with workouts too! I didn't know difference between nutritionist and registered dietitian so I googled it. I guess a dietician can treat clinical conditions as well as diet plans. A nutritionist cannot. Dietitians have more education in their field.

Briget, I thought the carb cycling days were going to be really hard but they weren't. The hardest time for me is between 2-5 pm. It always has been..it's when I want to snack the most...the increase in amount of protein I have to eat makes me so full. The only issue I have is finding ways to increase protein snacks. I have issues with whey and nutritionist would rather I eat a more natural form of protein anyway so protein bars etc are not a daily option. I made turkey meatballs and they are a good source of protein. I also have tuna on celery sticks. Prepping is essential! Ill keep everyone posted on how it's going! 💜💪
