tr3vi28's Journal, 02 November 2021

using my journal to vent today as I'm angry but don't know at who or what🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. thanks to @kenna for all your wonderful advice. Saw my last dr for foot injury final diagnosis is it is in fact a venous malformation, what happened partial thrombosis from ruptured vessel due to strain from high impact excersices & too many massage plus improper shoes👞 solution 1 injecting viens to improve discoloration and shrink them to relieve some pain then be on blood thinners for a while or a no procedure and do a baby aspirin regimen for life to avoid blood clots on that vien discoloration will be permanent. her words I can't make you any more better than you are I will suggest monitoring for now cleared to work part time atleast, no high impact excersices, no heels, no rubbing foot adapt to your new self😔 but I really liked her really informative and knowledgeable answered all my questions and took her time with me. meanwhile in the last 6 months I went up 10 lbs from not enough activity after so much work I'm just trending upwards this is really killing my mood and possiblities of staying positive 😢 working on acceptance😒

I love exercising in the pool but only get to do so in the summer! The water feels so good but you will still need to be careful as you do use your foot/ankle to swim :) Have you tried upper body strength workouts? I really enjoy using weights!

I'm sorry you are having to go through this! I too have horrible and painful foot issues so I can relate! I pray for healing of your foot and peace of mind for you! 💜🙏💜🙏💜🙏

Of the doctors that have been consulted included a vascular surgeon? Yes, ASA has some potential issues, gastritis and GI bleeds being 2. You don’t have to be a great swimmer in order to make the water an exercise choice. Water weights even for upper body— using the water as your resistance.. also, they make water shoes that look just like tennis shoes. A little protection for the bottom of that foot. In terms of shoes in general, you might consider shoes that are specifically made for diabetic. Built and padded for maximum foot stability and protection. A brand comes to mind but can’t think of it right now. I will get back to you on that.

Kenna, out of 9 doctors one was interventional radiologist, one was a vascular surgeon and the last one I saw is an Angio surgeon and more experienced in my case. That's what scares me reason I haven't started the ASA treatment I suffer from IBS, GERD and SIBO which all cause malnutrition even taking ibuprofen makes me sick😫 but I rather be on that then eliquis I don't know 😕 what do you think? Yes I use to buy those type of shoes for my father because he was a diabetic but I don't own a pair good thought stopped using memory foam because podiatrist said it made matters worse I think he was wrong is the only way I can walk actually the hard inserts he made me were awful😖

Tr3– it truly sounds like you have had all of the appropriate consults.

ah sweetie, it's tough. I have some speedo aqua shoes that look just like tennis shoes but they drain and dry in minutes. the benefit is that they give you traction on the bottom of the pool. can you do weights on machines or is that too much stress? there are tons of water exercises besides swimming, but I'd say get a couple sessions in with a swimming instructor and see if you like it more. it's not too late. let me know if you need ideas. I can be useful at times.

Tr3– did any of the docs talk about doing an ethanol embolectomy? Injection of alcohol into the vessels to sclerosis them? Do they want to start anticoagulants? I cannot really speak to the better choice between ASA and Elaquist for this particular problem. Outside of my knowledge base. They both have disadvantages and disadvantages. Elaquist is VERY expensive.

yes that's what sclerotherapy is option 1 after that they put you on the blood thinners for about 1 month until it heals than I'm done. I opt to wait because they said it'll make the pain worse don't get it🤷‍♀️

Praying for peace and understanding 🌺
