Diana 1234's Journal, 24 August 2021

Anyone else having petty bad days? I feel bad even posting this cuz it's so "not important" in the scheme of life but I'm just venting.. Bent down to pick up my shoes yesterday and my back spasmed...dont know why...still went to work out but no weights, mostly stretches. Did ice, heat all day yesterday and used my massager, it's not so painful today, just tight. No workout today...
Then I got into a stupid fight with hubby..( of course all his fault..not...) We rarely fight so it put me in a really bad mood. I'm sure pain added to it..
Ok...a few other things going on, family issues etc...I'm usually a pretty happy and grateful person...just not today...
PS this has nothing to do with weight post...lol😳😒😒

Hugs Diana! That sounds like a Monday! Hope your day gets better! I hate fights!!! They really do hamper the mood, and I think it can be totally related back to weight-loss! I bet most people here have eaten for some emotional reason. When I would get mad or upset I'd shovel food into my face and it felt defiant! Now I'll exercise to blow off steam. But, it truly sucks when you feel injured or strained. Maybe just sitting in the sunshine doing something that helps you find peace will help.

Oh my Diana, BUMMER!😟 Nothing is worse than having your back go out! Sometimes I can pick up a Kleenex and my back goes out, so sorry!!! 😞 I think when you rarely fight you don’t know how and it hurts more than it should. I was in a really bad mood earlier because my hubby accused me of always trying to turn everything into a joke. After hours of awkward silence, he finally gave in and asked, "What's the matter!?" I replied, "It's the basic structural component of the universe..."😁 Love ya!💕🌺🌸🌼🌻

Bearnoggin, thank u, I feel better! I did resolve matter with hubby. That helped alot! He is one who never says sorry but he will instead do something for me..I got a car wash and wax..lol Etten and Cheryl, thanks for hugs! Back at you! Shrew, I'm sorry your hubby got upset with you..I'm sure it's the stress and such of being sick... Thankful that my back seems to be better. No pain, just a tightness now. Going to stretch with trainer tomorrow.

Tim V. Funny you wrote about upbringing. I was also raise to accept, be quiet, listen not talk. The brain washing only worked until the hormones kicked in and a I turned into a teenager. Once I got past those years. I was fine. Quiet again. The pass few years, hormonal changes made me a bit crazed. I'm fighting again.

Yup, fighting with a loved one hurts. Feels so awful at times you don't know what to do with yourself🥺. Once peace settles, you remember you are lucky to have someone to fight with😳. When you are mad🤬, you think that we've been together for too many decades...🤭

Tim, thanks for the support! My husband was raised by a really dominant dad and passive aggressive mom. He is like his mom. We rarely fight because he too holds everything in. ( I'm totally opposite..) Also, after 30 years we know each other so well we can practically read each other's minds..All is ok now, but I woke up and back is back to hurting...I think you are right, the back has its own brain...it is telling me who is boss for sure!

Abc, you are so right!! We rarely fight, hubby is my best friend, and soulmate so when we do, it hurts! It's usually dumb stuff that spurred the argument, and I get more frustrated and hurt than mad...💜

I have a friend who cannot even have a serious conversation without throwing in one liners. Annoying.

What is a "one liner" Kenna? Not sure what you mean, but want to make sure I don't ever do it. LOL

I feel like the pandemic has dragged on so long, and with no end in sight everyone is having petty bad days more frequently than usual. Keep sharing and keep going.

Jodi- quick, short “joke” inserted into a conversation where it really doesn’t belong.

it's okay to have bad days... just remember to breath, and remind yourself that this is temporary and try to focus of the positives. (like you don't have Covid, hopefully your back feels better, your family and husband still love you) enjoy the rest of your day. sending good vibes🙏🏽

Kenna, Liz meika, cobby, Jodi, and anyone I missed, thanks for the support. The fight is over but the back hurts worse today. Ice, heat and rest for me! I agree that the pandemic plays havic with our moods etc. I am very grateful for all I have and know I'm blessed. My life is generally good and I was having a pity party for sure! 💜💜💜

I know how you feel! I bent over to pick up a sprinkler and it shot back at me and I twisted my back. I walked back up to the house bent over. I was in such pain. I texted my trainer and told him what happened and said I don't know what to do. He said come in - I will train around it. Oh my gosh! He is the best. He knew exactly what strength training moves I could do. I am sure other's wondered why I was walking bent over but within a week I was back to normal and a few weeks later back to lifting heavy. Hang in there!!

Redporchlady, thanks! I went to see trainer today. She did some stretching with me. Wonderful! I'm still in pain but I'm doing my ice and heat and massage. I hope this goes away soon!
