Magpiezoe's Journal, 03 March 2021

Back at it again. Didn't gain any weight and didn't loose any. This time I'm marking tally marks on a dry-erase board to keep myself in line. Second day of the tally and already seeing NSV's. Work has become a little too peaceful, but made up my mind to enjoy the peace while it's here and to stop morning all the losses. Helping furloughed and laid-off employees find work is helping ease the blow, but still reminds me how much I miss them. Lots of employees are taking the incentive and retiring early and some employees just up and leaving due to all the politics and inequities. Hubby and I discuss me taking the incentive to retire early, but wound up deciding to stay and see "how this story ends." I have other employees begging me to stay, because they aren't replacing anyone. This means my load would be put on other people and someone else would have to travel in the blizzards and storms to keep the building open. As long as I'm treated well and it's peaceful, I'm happy. Still, I would like to see more diversity like we had before the furloughs.

I just wanted you to know your post touched me. From your journal entry I feel you are a very supportive, caring person. Good for you about helping your co-workers that have left though no fault of their own and for staying with the job, just don't let the stress get to you and if it ever becomes "That" kind of job, please remember to take care of YOU & yours & do what is best for you. Take care :-)

Thank you JMA312. I really appreciate your comment. It helps me feel better about myself. I always called myself "wimpy." I just can't be an aggressive person like other people can. Like I told my former supervisor, "I care too much."
