debbra's Journal, 28 December 2008

Today is Sunday, December 28, 2008. I spent most of my day at the museum with my good friend and our ten year olds. I had eaten breakfast and then exercised. But since we had dinner plans with our hubbies and kids later on, we decided not to have lunch or a snack. Interestingly, I was not that hungry. Then we went to a sushi dinner. I didn't count how many things I was ordering because it's an all-you-can eat for one price sushi place. After dinner I had a baby size frozen yogurt. And when I got home, I had two small dark chocolate coins.

I think it was a good eating day, but I can't be sure. I am not going to try to calculate my points because I find it difficult to find sushi entries on the lists. I would calculate my meal at 15 points, max probably. But I can't do that without being specific on the site's food list. So I am just going to record what I ate here in my journal. But I am not going to eat anything else today. Hopefully in the morning the scale will show a loss. Tomorrow is one of my weigh-in days.

I think I passed the most difficult time of this vacation, which was my family's holiday party this past weekend. I'm happy to say that I did not overeat. Nor did I get affected the next day by the impression of the food. This is a huge change, growth, and accomplishment for me because I used to be sooo scared of throwing parties because the memory of the food would affect me for at least a week afterwards. I credit this site for that new ability, and I am grateful for it.

Now I have two weeks more with the kids at home. New Years Eve will be another slightly difficult night. But I'm planning on drinking and not necessarily eating, at least not as far as indulgence goes. I am just going to enjoy some good old-fashioned Tequila with some kind of mix that I haven't decided on yet. I'm not a big drinker, but I'm just in the mood to have a glass with some friends. Unless there are some handy snacks around, the alcohol won't take me to the food. Of course, if there were to be bowls of candy or chips or something, that would be a problem. But I think the snacking will be limited. I think it will be okay. We'll see.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays as much as I am!!!

I just added my food for the day on my food diary. I kind of fudged the numbers, probably overestimated. I just put 22 pieces of sushi, which isn't exactly what I ate, but it came to the points I thought it would be. So there it is!

Thanks, guys! I'm not sure it was actually 22 pieces of sushi. I didn't count. I had one of this and two things of that and a hand roll here and a piece of my husband's sushi there. I am probably overestimating. But I feel good with the number of points that 22 pieces of sushi gives me. But it was yummy, I have to say. This restaurant has white tuna. I've never seen that anywhere else. I love it. Yum. I'm getting hungry again. LOL
