Rainy, cloudy cooler day today. I've taken advantage of the sunny warm weather for a few days. I went out Tues. to Home Depot for flowers, tomato plants, basil, thyme & parsley. It was not overly crowded so distancing myself from the other shoppers was easy enough. Hubby & I also hit Walmart for groceries while we were out. I've been sending him out with a list so I was able to get a look at the meat/ fish selections myself. Came home with fresh tuna, Tilapia, chicken thighs, spicy sausage links and pork tenderloin. I do a lot of skinless, boneless chicken but occasionally I get in the mood for a plain old piece of regular chicken 😊
I had the best time yesterday planting the flowers in pots and hanging baskets for my yard. Better than therapy. Some may say shopping for gardening supplies....also picker up Grass B Gone, mulch & potting soil....is not essential. I figure if I stay far enough away from people, use my hand sanitizer & wash well when I get home I'm using precautions AND preserving my sanity.
Georgia is starting to open up tomorrow. Hubby & I don't plan to rush out & go into crowded resteraunts or other businesses right away. Still being careful.
I am happy to say I've been maintaining pretty well in the past few weeks. Experimenting with eating different foods to see what works. Still measuring & logging everything....even the tiny piece of Red Velvet Cake I had for dessert last night. I was a bit surprised how much 1 chicken thigh weighed last night but it did have the bone & skin still. So I only ate one piece. Surprisingly I still have half a bag of the jelly beans I bought. I've had some but I count out 10 usually & I've resisted eating more 😊😀 When I allow myself treats like this, I try to eat slowly and savor the taste instead of mindlessly gobbling them down.
I also have joined Hubby & the dogs for a walk most every day. I had told Hubby I was tired a few days ago from working outside. He thought I might skip the walk but I said "No, I need to go". I actually wanted to go...and was happy I did.
