I have an elliptical machine, but that would involve your feet being inside shoes and working out standing for a length of time. So probably not what you need right now. I use it more when the weather is bad (too cold, to rainy or just plain ole TOO HOT... as it gets over 100 here in the summer)

I like the Precor elliptical trainer they have at my health club. It is easy on my knees and I can adjust the workout. And I always get a workout on that one! At home I have a Fluidity bar that I really like. It came with dvd's and the beginner one has been enough for me for now. I do that a couple times a week. I also have a Pilates for Dummies dvd that has all three levels, beginner through advanced. I've only been able to barely complete the beginners. I alternate my dvd workouts at home so I don't get bored. I've also recently bought a "Bean" from an infomercial. It's deflated now twice, so I'm not impressed with the quality. It is comfortable and easy on my back, and I find myself sitting on it and reading more than working out. I've used a regular large exercise ball now for about a year and find that the crunches I do on that ball work out my stomach muscles more than about anything. It took some getting used to though. The first time I sat on the ball I promptly fell flat on my butt!
