First and Foremost, I hope everyone is healthy and safe. This entry has nothing really to do with my dieting as much as what this forum is for. I just needed to get some thoughts off my chest and was hoping the community has some thoughts as well.

What I do not understand is looking at how our different states are handling this crisis. Why are some states sheltering in place others are not. I also do not understand why people are hoarding food, cleaning supplies and panicking. If you just buy what you need on a weekly, or bi-weekly basis there would not be shortages.
Let's be real their were no shortages before! The shortages are self imposed by panicking

My son is a teacher and has a love hate relationship with this on-line learning being practiced today. By the way it is also going to be our future, but that is something else.

As for the diet an exercise, not so much dieting as I should be, eating healthy and not dieting maybe the need right now. Eating balanced meals but increased amounts making sure the body is getting what it needs.

Eating healthy and nutritious food and keeping in shape do sound like the best approach. That is what I am trying to do as well. As for panicking... I think just instinct. Historically... it is what we have done ... I think here people bought enough provisions for staying inside a month. maybe that was not a bad approach especially if you are in a risk group. Hope you have a good day.

"liv001" Sad to say I am in that high risk group due to my age, and as they say underlying conditions. I also agree with you as to why people have done this. I am also a christian, and have friends from all faiths. Seeing what people are doing on TV and what I see when I have to venture to the grocery store, saddens me.

Do you go early? Many stores in my area have reserved the first hour for people with disabilities and seniors. And when you find something buy so you do not have to go too often

I just went grocery shopping a couple days ago. It was a mess. Anyway, I’m in Illinois, they are doing a shelter-in-place which I am happy for. I feel like people are just primarily running on emotions
