You know what? I like pants waist size way better than a tape measure. That is all.

There are some nice body measurement tape measurements out there. I use one of those. But pants work great as well!!!

I finally got a tape measure and no one has lost it yet. I wonder how long that will last. PS waist measure is 2 inches higher than pants measure in my case. Chest is on target though.

True liv001, but I look silly measuring my neck and chest with my pants. love2educate, I find the sizes are closer in both dress slacks and cheap jeans, but they run much bigger in Levis and designer jeans as a comfort thing for sales.

Waist measurements rarely seem to go along with what the pants size is for my hubby. It's weird.

davidsprinces, it's a sales gimmick. Pants always run larger than the tag size. If we are an actual 40" waist, and Levis has 36" jeans it makes us feel good about the brand. It's a psychological thing. Albeit dress slacks are much closer, but they even run bigger than stated.
