Well, perhaps like you, I struggle with my food choices. Sigh. Can I be addicted to sugar? Seriously! I crave it when I am not eating it and when I do, I REALLY eat sugar (I should own stock in Reese's Pnut Butter Cups and Trader Joe's dark chocolate peanut butter cups!)--then feel like crap. I fast two days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays. 600 kcals max each day. (For women, 500 is the max on the two days.) I started this fast diet in early Sept., dropped about 10 lbs. but as the holidays approached, I gained it back. Today, my fast day,I have taken in 268 kcals! It is about 3:30pm. I can make it through the rest of today. It's tomorrow when I will have troubles since I am back to my regular habits. But I am human! My doctor said that they look at weight over time, not day to day. We will have ups and downs with our weight.
I ran a 10K race this past Saturday! It was awesome. I run 4x a week thinking my exercise will "cancel out" my sugar cravings. Twisted thinking, eh? Oh well.

Sugar IS addicting. I struggle in this area too.

Great job on your 10k! 🎉 I am a sugar addict! It’s real. And that’s sugar in all forms; pasta, rice, potatoes, bread too, not just cakes and cookies like most people think. When I have even modest amounts of any sugar, it makes my hunger go WAY up, makes my cravings go way up, makes me tired, makes my digestion less than stellar, etc. So for me, I feel much more in control of my life when I don’t eat it. I consume a lot of granulated Splenda. Gives me a sugar hit without the weight gain.
