NEWS FLASH!!!!
I just ate fish for the first time in my life and i liked it! - lol i feel like i should say that to the tune of katty perrys i kissed a girl :P
but seriously it was nice, haddock which im told is not very full in flavour so that could be why but i have been thinking for a while that i wanted to try it because Norway hasnt really caught on to the whole meat substitute thing yet so getting protein into my diet was going to be really difficult when i move! but now i have a soloution FISH! Vair pleased! am going to be experimenting a lot with fish these next few months so i am prepared!

in other less exciting news i pretty much maintained this week only gained .4 of a lb so barely a gain i think its down to 3 things. the stress of completing my late work (staying up late and over eating too) not going to the gym as much as i should have. and as i am awaiting the dreaded TOM i feel that might have contributed!

Today i had the hardest workout i have ever done with my trainer she really kicked my arse! but it felt good so i shouldnt complain! I had my treat meal today although it was hardly a meal i had doritos with salsa dip it was sooo good i weighed out my doritos to 70g(which is something crazy like 350cals) i decided to have it at the start of the week so i can feel like i am buring off the calories during the week. I am enjoying the trainer she keeps me motivated and is always chatting which is great i think getting a PT who is the same age as me was a good idea i never feel talked down to and its almost like training with a friend d'awww! :P

anyways fingers crossed for losing a couple more pounds this week but just being happy that im getting healthy!

somethings i am happy for today:
1. trying new things
2. losing 5lbs in a month (that was my orig goal)
3. reading all of you're lovely journals i always keep them open to comment and then forget!
4. not having any more school work to do for a while
5. just under 2 months untill i leave
6. having someone special even if they are in another country!

hope everyone is having a great start to their weeks! :) x

OK I am not a big fish eater either.. but I like haddock.. so based on that I will list other fish I like.. whitefish( which apparently is a group of fish.. who knew), orange roughy, and my most favorite kind of fish honest to goodness I could eat it everyday (I would trade it for... pizza) is chilean sea bass.. omg it is so freaking good.. I get really crazy when I know I am going to get to have some! One fish that I DONT like is talapia when ever i have it it tastes muddy to me.. my husband says I am nuts. I hate smoked salmon but I love fresh salmon especially in sushi, I love tuna in sushi, and I like yellow tail in sushi. Let me know what you think of those fishes.. I have never cooked the C.sea bass but the others I have just baked in the oven with salt and pepper.. or just salt and the sushi I always order out. :)

Lots of positive things in your journal today! Wonderful! It's so great that you like your trainer, even though she 'kicks your arse'! :)

definitely she kicks my arse in a friendly way rather than scary mean way :)

I like salmon, tuna on the grill, trout if you have a fisherman (or fisherwoman) friend or a good seafood place, how about shrimp? And I guess I missed the part about moving - are you moving permanently to Norway? If the fish has a "fishy" smell, it is not fresh so don't eat it! Congrats on the 5 pounds!

there is a huuge fishmarket in town so i could go there, to me all fish has a smell that i find overwhelming :P not permanently yet but hopefully! i have a year exchange at a university there and i am hoping that i can find a job and stay when the year is over :)

Not all sushi is raw. There are also rolls with fried pieces of fish. I love fish, but I never make it myself (I don't even know how).

its weirdly not the raw ness that i dont like i have tried veggie sushi and there is something about the taste and smell of sushi (fish ones aswell) that really turns me off! i cooked mine really easily warpped it in alumminium foil with a bit of olive oil, garlic, parsely and a few slices of lemon :) easy as pie and just as tasty!
