Fasting a.m. BS = 133; weight = 173.7 Third day on Beef & Butter. Worked at the library 4 hours. This extra work is keeping me away from the refrigerator! Having extreme sneezing, headache, and runny nose, day & night -- don't know if its my beef allergy or environmental. I will try the beef one more day because it really cuts my appetite. I can do this!

It is cedar season round these parts :( - could that be it? Hope you feel better and good job keeping busy and staying away from the refrigerator!! You have a beef allergy and are eating only beef? I'm curious as to why you are doing that.

Nikeit: Self torture? I'm eating the beef because it works faster than other meats and I have it on hand. If it was something I liked, I would eat more of it, but because I don't like the taste much, and have to force myself to eat it, it actually kills my appetite. So I can stand it for four days, lose weight fast, and then I hope to be able to switch to things I like and still maintain psychological control. Losing weight is truly a psychological game! Cedar is one of my allergens and we have plenty of it around. Husband says he is not burning it in our wood stove! But it is still possible the cedar is getting to me. Over the counter allergy meds make me so hyper I can't sleep at night, so aspirin is my go-to med of choice. If the beef is the culprit, I'll soon know.
