Just left a baby shower for one of my closest friends and while the food wasn't ideal, I know that I did fine. I called my best friend when I left to check on her because she hasn't been feeling well and I was still on the phone with her when I came in the back door of my house. This is now on the "Do Not Ever Do This Again" list. The dogs were barking and my husband went off the deep end telling me that this is an extremely rude and disrespectful thing to do. WTF??? I didn't walk in a store or go to a dinner party...I walked into my own home! Anyway, big argument with Pookie and I said some pretty hateful things to which he replied, "I'll be glad when you get back on your meds". Oooh...he KNOWS how to push my buttons! I want to scream. Where's a hot fudge brownie when you need one???

Aagh! Men! Can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em! (But we can't kill ourselves either, so good job avoiding the brownie) Glad you did well at the shower. Keep up the good work! :)

I can tell you this, it's truly the one's we love that know exactly where to poke & prode, and what's going below the belt to hit us where it hurts most. Sorry to hear about the argument & hopefully apologies are on the way if they haven't already happened. But kudos for making good choices at the baby shower. Tomorrow is a new day = )

Wow... that doesn't sound rude to me at all. Like you said, it is YOUR OWN HOME. I hope that you guys have made up now and that you were able to resist that brownie!

I can totally relate. Do you think he was jealous of you being gone? I know last year when I went to Florida with my BFF for a weekend trip, he was so excited about me going.....but while I was gone, it was a TOTALLY different story. He was ragging on my house cleaning skills (telling me how much better job he could do if he was at home, complaining about my dogs, he is not an indoor dog person, but he let me get two in a year's time, and they do not have free reign of the house and I clean up after them...whole 'nuther story). UGH. My BFF??? Her dh wasn't excited about her going, finally let her go, and was all lovey dovey to his wife while we were gone. lol CRAZY MEN!!!! It's life. We have our ups and downs I guess. Hopefully things are worked out by now for you and your's. (((((BIG HUG)))))
