I started at 225, about 3 months ago. Slowly but surely, the weight is coming off, the right way this time. I've lost a tremendous amount of weight before (about 7 years ago), but gained it all back after I got married (3 years ago).
I went through a long period of unhealthy dieting and eating, and now I am trying to lose weight in a healthy and controlled manner. I am tired of yo yo dieting, pills, eating disorders and food obsessions. I am trying to get down to a weight that is healthy for me, and not what other people think I should look like.

I run my own little vintage shop on etsy.com and I want to be able to wear all the cute stuff that I have. Yes I am a vintage addict, maybe more than a food addict! Check out my shop if you love vintage and fashion~

no weight loss
No no don't quit, just stick with it! Take it a day at a time, and don't beat yourself up. You might not be seeing results right away, but if you keep working out and eating right, your body will eventually let go of the weight. You just have to stay focused and try not to get discouraged. My husband has already lost as much as I have and I have been doing it longer than he has, but I am using him as a motivator and a competitor. Today I was able to keep up with him while walking, which is saying a lot. I'm gonna be kicking his butt soon Very Happy

plateau
How soon into a regime can plateaus hit? I've been doing this for about two weeks and am having a hard time getting past my initial water weight loss. Am I eating too much? Too little? I know I need to work out more consistently too...
