Today, I joined a Facebook group called, "Sugarbomb in your brain". It was started by Bitten Jonsson, who wrote a book on sugar addiction. The book is in Swedish, but most of the info in on her page or her website.

Right now, I feel that 'tis the season to suffer.

Suffer? As the brain can only use glucose for fuel, it ought to be interesting how she concludes that sugar (I assume she is referring to sucrose which is a combination of glucose and fructose) is a superbomb for the brain. There is a thing called the “blood-brain barrier” that is just that, a significant barrier. It very carefully selects and sorts what crosses into the brain. Many things are excluded.
