Just need some words of encouragement or inpiration. I keep overeating, which makes me miserable, so I try to diet again and then BAM another binge. I feel really out of control right now.

Anyone out there that has overcome BED?

Not to be naive, but what is BED?

Find some filling yet low calorie foods that you ENJOY to eat if you get too hungry. Use them instead of high calorie junk food and you will likely smooth out your binges.

There's a book called "Becks Diet Solution" that is supposed to help with behavioral issues and food. It's not a diet but helps us start thinking in a better way to help us lose weight. Check it out on amazon and look at reviews. Maybe it could help you. Good luck!

Rubie-sue, BED is an abbreviation for Binge Eating Disorder. Unlike plain old overeating, it is consuming a large amount of calories in a short space of time (like the other morning when I'd consumed about 2000 calories by 11am).I am by no means grossly overweight, but the adrenal/insulin surge and hangover, added to shame about not seeming to be able to control these urges makes me fairly downbeat a lot of the time. Bakkerh - this is not a bad idea. Perhaps I should work on preparing more salads, I do enjoy salads, but throwing them together takes time when hungry... so it's easier to grab high sugar high carb food which makes me crave more... Becks Diet Solution, Suzi. I will have to check this out. Any tips from any book are useful to me right now. Thanks so much!
