Today was an amazing day and then a horrific day :(

started off going for my personal training session which i LOVED but i noticed i was getting some blurryness around my left eye so when i was finished i went to the optician thinking it would just be something stuck in my eye, but no such luck the optician told me that my retina has become detatched and it is very serious and if not fixed i could go blind, so i went to accident and emergency and waited around for 5 hours panicking like crazy and being told nothing untill i was eventually seen and told that it has become severly detatched and is very close to detatching from the very back of the eye which is the worse thing can happen. so tomorrow morning around 5am my mum has to drive me to london to have an operation on my eye called a Vitrectomy which is a fairly specialised operation apparently so yeah i have no idea what is going to happen but please pray for me if you can because i really dont want to lose my sight :( x

Good luck sweetie - the same thing happened to my mom a few months ago, but thankfully it wasn't as bad. Good luck - you'll be fine I'm sure.

So how did you hurt your eye in the first place? was it a freak accident or is it something that runs in your family. (my aunt has an eye condition that runs in the family that is why I ask)

Ceebee i think it may have been the fall i had (see previous journals) the surgeon said it had been happening for a while but as it was detatching from the bottom of my eye gravity was keeping it down it actually wasnt untill i started exercising again that it really became dangerous!

I know how scary it is to think you could lose your sight, believe me I do. The good news is that it was caught and corrected. Please be sure to take extra special care of yourself.
