Day 2 of a planned 5 day fast

Did a decent job of keeping my carbs down yesterday. I felt the 'fasting calm' start to settle over me yesterday. I now see that last week, when I took in too many carbs from flavored coffees during my fast, I did not allow myself to get into the 'zone' from not having the spikes in my blood sugar.

My goal today is to only drink tea during the day and to only have my homemade bone broth tonight at dinner 😊

I definitely need to run tomorrow morning. I drank a lot of water yesterday, but I also took my Hi-Lyte electrolyte concentrate so ‘not much is coming out’ 😊 Good for dehydration, but, bad for making the scale move 😊.

The second day of the fast is usually the hardest because this is where the body makes actual physical 'adjustments' and there is some 'discomfort' (possible headache, stomach ache, light headedness). However, after 3 months of fasting I am just plan used to this and it really isn't that bad. I felt worse on Sunday, after I ate a huge Keto meal, than I have ever felt on the second day of a fast.

Also, at this point there is never any actual hunger. I only get hungry after my blood sugar falls. I must eat for that to happen. I usually have the 'desire to eat', but this time, I am planning to eat Keto this weekend. No McDonald's! I'm tired of having to use three days of the fast to make up for two days of unhealthily eating on the weekend.

Anyway, I hope you all have a good day today!
