@nikeit - Thanks! With all the travelling I knew I 'would take a hit'. Obviously we always try to 'minimize the damage'. Listening to a podcast recently by Dr. Jason Fung really helped me because he stressed that it was 'giving your insulin time to fall' was the important thing. The IF (Intermediate Fasting) is the 'big thing' probably more important than the Keto. The movie 'Fasting" https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B07DPVLQ1R/ basically shows that IF with no other changes has the greatest impact. Anyway, today is the last day I will be faced with large amounts of food. Starting Monday I can get back to my 'routine'.

Well THAT'S great to hear because I am all about IF and no way am I giving up carbs doing keto - just not for me - but everybody needs to find exactly what works for their unique body and as always calories in better be lower than calories out to lose anything! Great job getting through the week without a lot of stress about it all - enjoy your routine this week!!

@nikeit - The reason I feel that IF *is* the most important thing is that, again, looking at my numbers over the past 6 months, I went from 210lbs to 179lbs (31 lbs today - 3.4 lbs per week) in a 9 week period by consuming very little during the day. The calories were about the same as they are today... The *problem* is that I get *bored* during the day. -eating- is what I do when 'bored'... (sigh)

Oh, I know ALL about that! Bored eating is a favorite pastime of mine - IF kinda' broke me away from that mindset! All hail IF...lol

I believe IF helped me lose weight and keto helped me stick to IF and stay away from carbs. IF while eating carbs sux! But is still doable. I hope your week of fat bombs turns out well. It’s actually a really good idea. Not enough protein or carbs to raise insulin. 👍 ps I ate 333 carbs today 😳🤣☠️

@CrashtestDawnie - It's ok, I basically did 300 carbs last Wednesday and kept it to only a 2 pound gain. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do... But, starting Monday I 'plan' to have my 'normal' schedule. However, my Mother is in the hospital so no promises...

Thank you everyone. Ironically more family medical issues with other family members popped up. It has gotten so chaotic I haven't done any 'stress eating' because there is nothing I can possibly think of to eat that would-get-the-job-done (make me 'feel' different). So I am just putting one foot in front of the other at this point. However, I may hit the protein mix that is sitting on my desk at work when my fat bombs are gone...
