Bearniggin, I was just telling princess how that ornament was put up by one of my girls when they were decorating. I'm not sure who chose it, but it is what I really want to keep in my heart right now. Quiet and focus on our blessings in the midst of crazing times, is a good place to be this holiday! 🎄 ⛄ ❤️

Thank you, mollymurrrr! jheeden, thank you, man!! I really want to do better. I think I can... I'm sort of just tired. Sadly, I am not working my butt off... Maybe it is the dark and the stress. 😊 carol655, thank you! Pretty much my whole life we heat only with wood. 13 years when the kids were little, the only heat was a tiny wood stove that couldn't hold enough wood to last the night. I am delighted beyond words to have this lovely, magic thing on the wall that when flipped creates heat!!!! Yay for gasssss heat!

Love your kitty & your tree. I'm feeling a bit "fluffy" right now, too. My weight is up a couple of lbs. over what I was maintaining at for awhile. My afternoon snack/ lunch has been a grab & go snack for most of the week cause I've been busy decorating. And I haven't even done the tree yet. This afternoon I had tea & 2 cookies while I called one of my sisters who I've owed a call back for 2 days. Then 1/2 cup of chex mix around 6:00. Don't worry too much if you're up just a bit. You'll be able to lose it when things settle down. Enjoy your warm & cozy room ❤

Thank you, dear Shir! Of course, Chrismassy is a word! My motivation is so low. I'm trying to be really careful not to go up from here. I have a couple weeks I should be able to lose a bit. I will see what I can do. If I have to regroup still by year end, then I do. ❤️ Kawiener, I'm basically in your back yard!! That is amazing we are so close! When this wretched covid lets up, we really need to do a NW Washington gathering!

Thank you, SherryeB, for understanding and always being so encouraging. I did really over eat at TG. I've been a bit up and down since, but the biggest frustration is no working out like normal and just not feeling motivated or diligent with making better choices. I just want to relax and stop fighting so hard to keep fit and strong and reservef in my eating. I know I can't let up much or I will be so sorry. When I am sad and discouraged, it is a bit harder. Today I ordered a light therapy lamp. I don't know if it will help as t all, but I hate the dark and damp with all my heart, so maybe it will help me to keep some balance if I'm getting some "rays!" we shall see. Sounds like you have had some super busy days! I can't wait to see your decorations!!!

In spite of the trials, I too have so much to be grateful for. Thanks for the reminder Melissa. We could have been facing a much worse situation last night with our son. Thank God he spared his life.

Hey Melissatwa- lovely photos; I especially love the Peace! How is your physical therapy going? I hope things are improving for your daughters. Don’t stress about the weight right now; you’re conscious of what you need to eat and you’ll be okay. I know it’s harder when we can’t train the way we want to. Try to maintain a schedule and show up for what you can do. Knees are really depressing when they give trouble, just plain scary, no two ways about it. Alternative training is the best remedy I found for that.

Thank you to all of you for your very kind words and encouragement. Constantly refocusing on the blessings in life really helps to keep things positive even when I am disappointed with my fitness and weight. I realize I can and will improve in time. I have hope the darn knee will improve as will some of the other challenges in life. ❤️

Tom, thank you for asking. PT is going slowly. The sports med doc and the physical therapist seemed to confirm that the overuse injury was likely caused by an imbalance in muscle development. Without going to the gym, I stopped doing abductor exercises and poured my energies into weighted squats, deadlifts, and lunges. I neglected the side movements. I'm backing up before I can go forward, but it feels rotten to feel the muscles get soft when I worked so hard to grow strength. It will be worth the retraining if I can run and lift again like I was! 😁 I have to be! patient, which is not my strongsuit 😊
