Quesadilla Turkey Burgers

Delicious burger with turkey, Mexican cheese, salsa, lettuce and tomato in a tortilla.



  1. Cook burger to well done.
  2. Soften tortilla in microwave, place burger in middle of tortilla with rest of ingredients.
  3. Fold over until it resembles a disc and put on grill, panini maker, or George Foreman grill until warm.

I added peach mango salsa and a whole wheat tortilla, it takes the calories down and adds more fiber/protein.

There are 19 -23 carbs in just the tortilla. For the INDUCTION PHASE,that may be too many carbs for one meal. I will try in maintenance phase, sounds good :)

I made my own patties and seasoned the turkey with a teeny bit of soy sauce, fresh minced garlic, chopped cilantro and chili powder. DELICIOUS!!! Next time i would use a smaller wheat tortilla. other wise this recipe is ABSOLUTELY FAB!

I make these ALL the time! In fact, I'm making one tonight after work! These are the ABSOLUTE BEST LOW-CARB THING EVEEER! Of course, it's best to use low-carb or "carb balance" tortillas. I find that the fajita/taco size work the best for me. 8-12 carbs for the tortillaS- yes, 2 tortillas is EXCELLENT. My Boo, who INSISTS that he needs no diet (and he doesn't), absolutely loves em. ;)

I used ground turkey, tiger seasoning and Mrs Dash. I forgot to add the salsa. But it was delicious!!

try substituting the tortilla with Boston lettuce as a "wrap". Bye-bye carbs!
Yummy! Great meal, I couldn't hide the slices of tomatoes from my boys!
