Viscious Cycle
I hope i am wrong but first your weight is appropriate for your height .
BMI is fine, and even then14 pounds is nothing if that is how much you think you are over weight.
I think you might have a little self image issue so I apologize if I am wrong but I invite you to check your BMI and your body fat before you think you are over weight.

just metabolism???
Well I am not sure of all the symptoms, I would say you need to see what exactly are you doing and eating before you loose that weight. I have found that high fat, high carb diet makes me bloat and gives me some of those symptoms. I would recommend leaner meals and a lot more fiber maybe do a colon cleansing.
I have worked on a construction site and I know the constrains but you should still try and make your meals, if you are not a fan of vegies just incorporate them with the protein, onions, and tomatoes are great for that.

Good luck

Recovery Days
Well recovery most times are not tied to cardio, they are tied to muscle recovery which is supposed to be around 3 days. You might just be suffering from lack of energy from lack of food or plain over exercise from cardio, which is normally enough to have a good day of rest and good eating.
(not an expert if someone is an expert please clarify)
