I live in South Texas. I like to eat but that got me in trouble so now it's time for me to change my eating habits, my lifestyle, and my thinking. I just turned 33 years-old last week; I'm married, I have a son that's two, I have a graduate degree, I work full-time, and I love to read. Alright this is just the basis of what I "recently" found out what works for me: I have to lose 100lbs but in order for me to reach that goal I have to break the whole thing down into two's.

I just figured this out because when I have a huge number like 100lbs to lose I get discouraged because it seems like I'm never going to get there, but if I only have two little pounds to loose each week it's seems doable in my brain. I know I'm weird.

Thank you again everyone! I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner I guess I need to check this post more often. Yeah I'm trying to kick the coke habit because that's where all my calories are going, but it is very hard as now I just realized I am addicted to caffine. I stopped drinking cokes cold turkey last week and by the second day - yeah the second day - I had a major migraine! I was going through withdrawals! Too bad there isn't a rehab for soda addiction. I'm thinking maybe I can start reducing my soda intake once every three days and so on until it is completely out and off my food log. It's the only thing I can think of at this time.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and great support! I really appreciate it! So far I've lost eight pounds though I haven't been tracking faithfully I still managed to lose some weight. Anyway thanks again!

I've never really posted anything here because I used to be on and people there are really mean and would say horrible stuff on my posts so I just deleted my account. I never posted anything here because I expected the same reaction, but I've been a member since '09 and since then I've survived and completed grad school, bought a house, got married, had a baby, gone through three jobs and now had the opportunity to open and run my own business. So now I thought what the heck I'm pretty sure there are some nice people out there that won't scold me for my little indulgences of drinking a soda, but would and could actually relate to my cravings of Coca-Cola Classic! Maybe not the same drink, but can relate to some type of sweet craving. But seriously though, if I don't have one I go through caffine withdrawals. And on the good news I'm down to one 12oz can of coke a day instead of the 2 20oz bottles - one for the morning and one for the afternoon. I've come a long way.

Anyway I'm Trish I am at my heaviest and I can't blame it on baby weight anymore. My baby boy is a year old and just takes off running on me. I've noticed that the short distance run from the kitchen to the living room to catch him (3x) as we play leaves me breathless and exhausted. So it's time to kick my own butt into gear and finally start taking this seriously. I've gone to the gym two times in a row this week! RAAAAHHHH! My new record! And back to back too - Monday and Tuesday! I am sore as SH*T but I did it for an hour each day. I hope to continue my streak by going everyday because if I don't I won't go back. I'll use the same excuses that I've used since '09 "Oh I'll just do it two or three times a week" and then it becomes "I'll go tomorrow" when tomorrow never comes. Yeah we have a 24hour fitness gym there's no reason I can't go today they're still open LOL. So anyway it's great to meet all of you and I hope you all have great success in the future.
