Ok everyone, yes I lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time and I am very proud of myself. I think the reasons for this major weight loss is, I am a stay at home mom and when the kids are at school I am finally moving, whether it is getting on my Gazelle, working on the balance ball or finally getting that pile of cloths washed in my basement.
I had lower back surgery where they fused my disks together 2 years ago. Since then I have been afraid to move! I know the surgery was a success but because the doctors took so long to find the reasons for my pain I ended up with nerve damage in my right leg. Taking a walk or just getting up from the couch is a trial. My right leg doesn’t move the way yours does, I have to think about every step I take. I have landed face first in many stores and streets because I was in a hurry. To finally say enough is enough and not give a crap what people think as I stumble along is a big step for me. The weight coming off is just a plus point!
So when you ask what I am doing, my only true answer is moving more and drinking LOTS of water. I don’t skip meals because who can resist a craving if you’re starving. These first few pounds were easy, now the hard part starts because in order to lose more I have to move more and I am looking forward to each moment.
My crew chief ask us to make a small challenge this week and my challenge for myself is to add 30 minutes of excersize everyday. I still haven’t figured out a reward and that’s ok , my reward will be knowing I did it!
My quote for the week is:
The man who can drive himself further once the effort gets painful is the man who will win

I will win both in mind and body!

This morning was turning out to be pretty bad. I had two boys in tears because I had to say No. Their first wrestling match of the year was put on hold because one was up till 3 a.m. coughing up a lung and the others ear hurt. I feel like such a mean mom. But after a few minutes of drying tears and explaining they wouldn't be wrestling at 100% they seemed to understand. (Thank the Lord!) But I still fill rotten.
Even feeling like I had a brick on my shoulders I stepped on the scale this morning and I think my heart stopped! I stepped off and then right back on, it read the same. 167.8 I am still in shock! This means I am down 15 pounds since I started! I'm SO FRICKING HAPPY! Now I know it's probably all water but I don't care! I just want to keep losing! To bad the challenge couldn't have started sooner, the weight lose would have helped my team a lot!
Good luck team and have a cheat free weekend!
Weigh-in: 167.8 lb lost so far: 15.2 lb still to go: 27.8 lb Diet followed 100%

Didn't have any birthday cake! I was so proud of myself. My family is known for having 5 people over and having enough for 20 people. Thats not so bad but when we make food we use butter, rich creams, cheeses, duck, and goose as the main dish. The richer the food the better is our motto. It's amazing that more of us are not over weight.

I really need to excersize but my wonderful hubby and boys are playing PS3, this wouldn't be so bad but they are playing a game that makes me sick even if I watch it for a few minutes.

Saturday will be busy, my boys have their first wrestling meet. I know both are looking forward to it and are in the right frame of mind, but both started coughing and have runny noses. So if they run a fever at all, I'm going to hate telling them "No wrestling today."
Have a good night all!
