Well, I guess this is where I should have written everything that went into my first journal entry. Huh...
43 yrs old and have fought my body all of my life. The smallest I've ever been was in my early 30's, @165lbs, but I was still overweight. I've tried soooo many wt loss programs, but the only thing that seemed to work was Atkins. But then I moved to New Orleans, and there was just too much FRIED! Everywhere!
About 2 yrs ago, my doc told me I was "pre-diabetic". And my body hurt. All over. All the time. So, back to Atkins!
It worked. I dropped from 221 to 190's fairly quickly, but couldn't seem to go any further. I was also still having all over body aches. With some research, I found the Primal lifestyle. I lost another 5-10 lbs (it fluctuates) and I felt so much better, but again, my weight loss stalled. I started really looking at what I was eating. On Primal, I had reintroduced raw whole fat milk products, more starchy veggies, and fruit. My daily carb intake was pretty high! More research... Now I'm transitioning into Keto-Primal. A new mindset, motivation, and I'm setting some (hopefully!) very attainable goals. I found FatSecret with my search for Keto-Primal information. So, here I go!!!!
